Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid Recall: 11,623 SUVs Can Slip Into Neutral

A 2026 or 2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid can drop into neutral at speed, and the fix isn’t in dealers’ hands yet. The Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid recall, filed with NHTSA on October 20, 2026, covers 11,623 SUVs, including a small batch of 2027 Corsair Hybrids. Owners will drive with this defect for weeks, so the warning light matters more than the repair date: if it comes on, get the SUV checked before your next trip.

Quick answer: Ford is recalling 11,623 2026–2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and 2027 Corsair Hybrid SUVs because corrosion on the transmission’s park lock circuit board can shift the vehicle into neutral while driving. Dealers will replace the Integrated Park Module free once parts arrive. VINs are already searchable on NHTSA.gov.

Which Nautilus and Corsair hybrids are affected?

NHTSA campaign 26V688, Ford recall 26S75, covers the 2026–2027 Nautilus Hybrid and the 2027 Corsair Hybrid. Motor1 reported on November 2, 2026, that 11,560 of the affected SUVs are Nautilus Hybrids and just 63 are Corsair Hybrids. Another 248 vehicles are covered in Canada.

Build dates narrow it further. Per Motor1, Nautilus Hybrids built from September 9, 2025, through August 6, 2026, are in scope. Corsair Hybrids are limited to builds from March 12 to July 8, 2026. The gas-only Nautilus, with its 250-hp 2.0-liter turbo four and eight-speed automatic, isn’t part of the campaign.

VINs have been searchable on NHTSA.gov since October 26, 2026, so you can check today. That’s quicker than Ford’s F-150 tailgate cable recall, filed the same day, where the VIN lookup doesn’t open until December 7.

Why does the Nautilus Hybrid shift into neutral?

The fault sits in the Integrated Park Module, the electronic unit that runs the transmission’s park lock actuator. Motor1, citing the recall filing, says an anti-rust oil used during assembly can seep into the module and attack its printed circuit board.

As the board corrodes, it can cause a voltage drop across the rotary sensor. The transmission reads that drop as a command to disengage. The result is neutral, mid-drive, with drive power cut to the wheels. NHTSA’s record says that sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Neutral disconnects the wheels from the hybrid powertrain. It doesn’t switch the SUV off. The danger is losing acceleration exactly when you need it: merging onto a highway, or pulling across an intersection with traffic closing in.

What should Nautilus Hybrid owners do before the fix?

Watch the instrument cluster. According to Motor1, the fault can trigger a wrench-shaped warning light with a “Service Vehicle Soon” or “Shifting System Error” message. It may show up well before a shift into neutral, or right as it happens. That message is your only advance notice.

If it appears, don’t wait for the recall letter. Call your Lincoln dealer, give them the exact message, and ask whether they want the SUV towed in. If it slips into neutral on the road, switch on the hazards and steer to the shoulder. Ford said it isn’t aware of any crashes or injuries tied to the defect.

Interim letters started going out on November 2, 2026, and a second letter will follow once replacement modules are available. Neither NHTSA’s record nor Ford has given a date for parts, so plan on a wait.

Does the Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid recall change whether you should buy one?

Hybrids are the core of this lineup. In its August 13, 2026, 2027 Nautilus announcement, Lincoln said hybrids make up more than half of Nautilus sales and that it sold 10,370 Nautilus SUVs in the second quarter of 2026. This recall’s 11,560 Nautilus Hybrids is more than a full quarter of sales for the entire model line.

For shoppers, the split is by build date. A used or certified 2026 Nautilus Hybrid built inside the window needs its VIN checked, and once parts arrive you’ll want the completed recall shown on a repair order before you sign. The refreshed 2027 Nautilus reaches showrooms in early 2027, according to Lincoln, and builds after August 6, 2026, fall outside the range Motor1 reported.

Lincoln isn’t alone in fixing hybrids this fall. Toyota is repairing seat backs on 228,367 Sienna hybrids in its Sienna seat-back recall, and if you’re cross-shopping luxury crossovers, the 2027 Lexus NX has gone hybrid-only. Ford’s truck side has had a busy year too, including its speedometer recall on 102,159 Super Duty and F-150 trucks.

The figure that matters in the Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid recall is the gap between filing and fix. VINs are live now. Parts aren’t. Run your VIN today, and if that wrench light shows up, call the dealer before you drive again.

Nautilus and Corsair Hybrid recall questions

Is my Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid part of the recall?

Enter your 17-digit VIN on NHTSA.gov, where campaign 26V688 has been searchable since October 26, 2026. Motor1 reports that Nautilus Hybrids built from September 9, 2025, to August 6, 2026, and Corsair Hybrids built from March 12 to July 8, 2026, are covered. Gas-only Nautilus models aren’t included.

What happens when a Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid shifts into neutral?

Corrosion on the park module’s circuit board can send a false signal, and the transmission disengages. Drive power to the wheels is cut while you’re moving, so you can’t accelerate. NHTSA says that raises the risk of a crash. A wrench light with a ‘Service Vehicle Soon’ or ‘Shifting System Error’ message may appear first.

Will Lincoln charge for the Integrated Park Module replacement?

No. Dealers will replace the Integrated Park Module free under Ford recall 26S75. Replacement parts weren’t ready when the recall was filed, so owners get an interim letter starting November 2, 2026, and a second letter when the fix is available. Ford customer service is 1-866-436-7332 if you have questions.
